Gotta say, I liked the old cover image better. I especially find the yellow background jarring. Then again, I tend to prefer simpler, two-color schemes.

I see your point, but the old image wasn't simpler, just uglier. For reference...

The type treatment inside the circle was something I stopped doing really quickly because it makes the logo look like chintzy rapper bling, and the grey background just makes the entire thing lifeless. In a podcast as chaotic as ours is, it's really silly to have an identifying image as boring as we had it. If something better comes along I'll look at it, but the new thing definitely seems more fun, and that's a huge improvement.

I was going for something that was readable, incorporated the logo and had some yellow in it. why yellow? I dunno man. all the cool podcasts have yellow in their icons. Plus I'm a talking hot dog. I like ketchup & mustard. I thought it was more action comics #1 than action news '77, but i totally see that now.

Most of the stuff I design is web ads and print advertising, so all my shit usually ends up looking like detergent boxes. Glad everyone doesn't hate it (except for Bomberjacket).

If you got a snappy alternative, put it up here.
