someone should address the paucity of evidence based research concerning sanguine vampires.

Vampirism being a retrovirus makes total sense, you know how it's important to monitor your CD4 T helper cell count if you have HIV? Well, you know what the CD part stands for? Count Dracula.

Is this the first vampire ep to have "Bela Lugosi's Dead"? I can't believe they made it this far before they dropped that. Also, hooray for vampire episodes!

Yes, but it's the third episode to reference Glenn Beck saying that the country is full of vampires, yet the first one to not use the song.

For some reason, despite being 31, I never got deep into the internet until 2002. This episode makes me sad that I missed out on all the crazy that was the early web 1.0 days of message boards and weird people WHO ARE TOTALLY THE THING THEY JUST SAID, YOU GUYS!

I'm so sad the psychic vampire book is out of print, I was going to buy it as a gift for a friend.

Yes. It's not great, but I enjoyed the idea of the logical conclusion of vampire recruitment being a human/blood shortage. Also, the detail about vampiric wildlife bursting into flames from sunlight and starting fires was neat.

It's definitely a see-it-on-tv movie, though.
