i think what does separate this from something like, say, pokegirls is that even within the context of the game, the monster girls are seen as horrifying and inhuman. in most things where the whole idea is for you to jerk off its like 'yeah sure its socially acceptable to put your dick in this thing that looks like jeff goldblum from the end of the fly' because the guy sitting with his dick in his hand wants to feel like hes doing the world a service. as someone said before, just about all of the h-scenes are also game over screens, so the mechanics of the game itself are telling you to not jerk off, the characters in the game all vilify people who even associate with monsters, the character that you are controlling in the game wants humans and monsters to get along but by no means wants to get down and dirty with weird vore shit, the other more normal monsters are put off by the weirder ones, even god shows up a few times to go 'yo, son, naw'. literally everything in the game tells you not to get eaten by sea cucumber girl, as should every part of human decency. except people just ignore all of that because they cant get over iron maiden v2, the more tentacle-y version of iron maiden

Admittedly I've never heard of monster girls or this "game" before this episode but considering that I hear all of the game over states lead to the character getting raped, maybe that's supposed to be its appeal to the player?  It seems easier explained that the game's posturing about warning the player not to get raped is just there as an excuse to rape the character.

Iron Maiden is an awesome band man. You know in Rime of the Ancient Mariner when it goes waaah and then there's the spoken word bit and it goes all soothing and then it starts building up and then "comes the raaaaaain!" and it's all budubudum that parts so badass man. Iron Maiden is a great band.

thats DEFINITELY a major thing, no doubt about it. theres actually a few game overs that are normal game overs but you can basically round it up to 100% of the endings, and it really pervades the writing a LOT. going off what i said the main character being raped is played off to a way greater extent, so id definitely agree with you on that. plus its something that comes up in a decent amount of other games and 'games' of this sort. japan is weird about all that

There is a lady human adventurer in this game, but because she doesn't have a magic sword made of dead angels, the blessing of the 4 elementals, and also isn't half angel like of course the hero is, she can't do shit.
