it's no nichijou, or even a nozaki-kun

Nichijou is overrated imo, especially in the west

It and jojo have become the new "all anime is shit, except for the two I like" shows

Compared to KyoAni's other shows, yes

Lucky Star isn't as well loved as Haruhi or K-ON and the general consensus I've found is that people liked it for ~2 years after it debuted and now no one gives a shit

Do you ever feel like the constant influx of new anime can get overwhelming or even off putting? I have some shows on my to-watch list right now, and maybe I'm just not into anime as much as I used to be, but I find it more difficult to sit through 26 or so episodes of a show that I may or may not even like just so I can move on to the next one. I'm not really sure what to do about it besides find a nice short-ish show that I really like, binge watch it and add it to the collection.

I guess my point is that the more anime I find out about, the less likely one of them will become 'that' show that really sticks with me.

I think the way to fix this is to watch everything when it's translated.  The Japanese don't have this problem because they just watch all the shows when they come out at 4 AM on whatever shitty cable network is running them

I legit liked both nichijou and lucky star though, as well as jojo. Am I the anime hipster?

Yeah, I think you make a good point. Just shotgun the entire series, or season, or manga, or whatever. I've found that I enjoy anime the most when I'm binge watching it and I at least have 3/4 of the show already translated for me. I'll try that out!

There are easier ways to kill yourself. That being said, I don't think being a ghost in Gensokyo is a very good gig.

What's the point of going to Gensokyo anyways? It's basically living in a small village in late 19th century Japan, with the added threat of supernatural beings preying on you, and you won't get to fuck any of your demon waifus anyways.

On the other hand, Touhou ghosts are adorable:
