When I went to Community College, my IT Security teacher would occasionally talk about how the school legally couldn't look at what we did online, as long as we weren't doing something like actually watching porn in the library because that could be a sexual harassment issue. Somehow people would still get busted occasionally for just having child porn out in the open. Like, a teacher got popped for it, and all he would have had to do is literally not have it open on his desktop at work.*
*this is all according to an elderly community college professor and could be 100% bullshit
