So, clearly that's insane, but looking at the website, I see that it's you who are repeatedly misdescribing this as poutine. They're calling it "frites". Which is... fine, I have no objection to that.

The things they actually are describing as poutine... it's a little hard to infer from the picture alone. They're saying "double layer poutine", which makes me think that there's a layer of poutine, and then a layer of, for example, Korean beef and kimchi.

If that is the case, that sounds delicious and I want some right now. If that's not the case, it's a crime and it should be reported.

That "Traditional" tho.... man, I really don't trust that one.

Again, I can't know from photo alone what's going on here, but if they're selling potato wedges and aioli and describing it as "traditional poutine", then that is just an affront to decency everywhere.

They also explicitly call this poutine:

which even I, an ignorant American, can see is clearly not poutine.  I don't think Neal is in the wrong here, no matter how much chai enjoys eating not poutine.

But see, again, without a description of the product itself I can't make a ruling. I see an eggroll wrapper, inside looks like hasbrown, cheese and bacon(?) and it's called "Bacon Deep Fried Poutine". It's probably a crime, but I can't make a ruling on photo alone.

Even their DoorDash listings don't have descriptions, although the photos do appear to reinforce the idea that "double layer" means "poutine first then other shit on top of that".

My guess would be that they serve it at, like, a Canada-themed pavilion or something at Disney World (but I say this as someone who has never been to A Disney so do not hold me to it) and it's bad enough that this person has decided this is a reasonable alternative.
