He must be really good at it, though, since he's actually a ballerino and not just a "ballet dancer".  "Ballerino" and "ballerina" are titles that signify great accomplishment and talent in the field, you see.  I know this because I Googled it, whereas Terra Snover was clearly too concerned with random homophobia to do any research.

Oh no! I was just thinking about her last night before I fell asleep. (I don't want to think about whether that's a good or bad thing to admit)

New Portfolio!

Guys she's really talented at 3D design, those buildings are super realistic. I mean, unless she's passing off the text on a photo as 3D design, but no way would anyone do that.

I hope she applies at my company someday, and I hope the hiring department rightly forwards her site to every art team for a nice laugh.

Thank God, she put the tree stump in her professional portfolio!

Japanese people find it super adorable when the first thing you say to them is "OMG UR A JAPANESE THIS IS A JAPANESE THING HEY DO YOU AND THIS HAIKU KNOW EACH OTHER??" Though Terra, they might not pick up on your worldly, nuanced understanding of their culture at first. Next time you might want to further promote solidarity by pulling at the sides of your eyelids and shouting your favorite Japanese dishes. I hear they love that just as much as they love being ogled by gross weeaboos, and clearly they love being ogled by gross weeaboos very much!

Here's her family crest.

Yukiko, being Japanese, is easily wooed by the use of haiku, but she is not Japanese enough to know what the definition of haiku is.

She's willing to let it slide and just appreciate the effort.

How relevant is haiku to the average modern Japanese person?

Probably very little.

I don't know if that's fair. I mean, if a non-English speaker hits on me with iambic pentameter, I'm jumping their bones. That's just normal.

Actually, when I was living there, it seemed like writing poetry (including in traditional forms like haiku) was a lot more common for ordinary people than it is in the West. Not that I conducted a survey, or anything.
