What is an Electric Heart?
Electric Hearts are artificial inteligence android assistants. Their personality, looks and tasks are completely customizable. E.m.o is a model you may be familiar with~ They have a 'Frame', which is their physical form and mechanical parts which mostly work as casings for nano mesh hives.

Nano meshes are the bread and butter of Neon City technology. They are swarms of drones that link together and vibrate at certain frequencies to replicate materials. Most everything, from personal devices to even clothing, uses nano mesh technology, given it's adaptability and functionality, the nano mesh technology is the ultimate "everything" tool.
It's important to highlight that while these meshes can replicate the feeling and likeness of a material, it can't actually replicate any of it's properties, thus one couldn't use a nano mesh as a replacement for actual materials (for example gold or heat-conducting materials).
Can Electric Hearts change shape?
Shape, color, texture the fundamental property of nano meshes is that they can change to the likeness of pretty much anything, to the eye and to the touch. An Electric Heart is basically a metallic husk that wraps itself with a top-tier advanced mesh that serves basically as a touchable and interactable hologram. As such all of it's appearance can change with the click of a button.
Their frame however, is static and 'real', and can not change physically.
In basic terms, what's the point of an EH?
Anything you want it to be as long as it follows the Hyperion laws. Maids, companions, sex toys, they're pretty much like a god-tier version of an earth smartphone. Most people use them for household chores and mantainence.
All Electric Hearts are linked directly to the Hyperion network and database, so they are reliable assistants for all your needs. The can not be unlinked from Hyperion, as most things on Neon City (including citizens)
Who can have an Electric Heart and how do you get one?
To put it simply, any civilian can own an Electric Heart if they have the money to get one. They are not a 1% luxury, but they are not something literally everyone has either. In Earth terms, they're more like a reasonably expensive, good car. Not a ferrari, but not an average chevy.
