Title: MRAs: The Documentary
Post by: Yavuz on October 04, 2016, 02:04:22 pm
Just what we needed, a "documentary (http://www.villagevoice.com/film/warning-you-cant-unsee-the-red-pill-the-documentary-about-a-filmmaker-who-learns-to-love-mras-9172459)" about how MRAs are unfairly maligned, because, you know, bad things sometimes happen to men, which means that obviously they are the most oppressed group in the history of the world.

Like many amateurish Kickstarter docs, The Red Pill doesn't always have visuals worth regarding on a screen, but I do cherish one flourish: an animated sequence of falling snowflakes, each with a different MRA complaint printed on it, meant to illustrate the movement's diversity of grievances. There's “Misandry”! There's “Restraining Orders”! Even the metaphor is hilariously white.

Oh, and Paul Elam shows up in the comments for this review. Yay.

I wish I could knock on Paul Elam's door every day, scream "YOUR PRECIOUS METAPHOR WAS CREATED BY WOMEN, YOU FUCKING IDIOT CUMSTAIN" in his face, and then leave a bag of poop on his doorstep as I leave his property.
