Holy shit. This is either going to make me vomit or be the best episode I ever listen to, because I got dragged to a cuddle party last year by a friend who didn't want to show up by herself.

It was the most annoyingly tedious thing I've ever been to. They scheduled 3 hours for the event, got started half an hour late, and then took an hour and a half to explain the rules. I appreciated their concern for safety (and I did feel safe), but I wound up just hanging out in the kitchen talking to people the whole time, because the "cuddle area" smelled like 20 people's socks.

I was most surprised by the demographics, though; I was easily one of the youngest people there (23), and the average age looked to be 35-40. There was also a distinct lack of tumblr grey-ace-special-snowflake bullshit, but I suppose that would require those people to leave their house.

I can't wait for this one to finish downloading.
