I find the lost kid story really telling with regards to how a brainless lib thinks about trans people. In the fiction of this situation, the parent and, somehow, the pre-pubescent child are instantly clockable by everyone around them, and what differentiates the bigots from the enlightened benefactor is that the benefactor is willing to play along with the delusion while low-key spreading social contagion claptrap ("if my dad can be a man I can be a boy too"). Obviously all the readers in the ep noticed immediately but it's so offensive while thinking it's woke that it's funny. The conservative narrative of trans people poorly playacting is accepted, but if you're open-minded, you think it's subversive and funny instead of scary, and that's what makes you an ally.
One of the stories that wasn't read has a similar situation where a burly bearded trans man is brought to tears by a cashier neutrally asking why he's buying pads. As Ganymede says at the end of the episode, it weirdly makes it seem like discrimination isn't that bad and also that the average LGBT person is either some pampered child unused to the slightest pushback no matter how long they've been out, or some eternally victimised doormat grateful for condescending humouring. Wild!
Anyway I won't tolerate a podcast that accepts homophobic slurs
