The Black Sun is a lunar society, descended from members of a Nazi secret space program led by Thule mages. They live extremely regulated lives, where every member is expected to fill a given role, and promotion to a more desirable function is the greatest reward. Their culture is based on a mixture of bizarre, very self-centered religion and a fanatical cult of personality. The society is ruled by the Archmaster, an official electable for life who is believed to command unparalleled mystic powers. Most members are born in Moon colonies, often via artificial reproduction. This sect is currently fixated on survival of the human race, through the means of militarization and genetic enhancement, in face of the numerous external threats, and claims that the current ruling powers are being ineffective about it. To maintain utmost secrecy it seldom contacts the Earth directly, normally working through proxies, most notably The Syndicate.
