I'm fairly sure the MCU mind controller was Killgrave from Jessica Jones. I understand the poster's reluctance to admit that, given that his character uses his power to enslave and rape women. But he's played by David Tennant, so that makes it okay to be infatuated with him.

It does really seem like all the FOs are the fluffy fan fiction versions of these characters or they might as well be for how little everyone seems to care about the content of the source material.

As I was listening I second guessed why I apologized for this and then the last section hit.

Anyway here's someone's room completely covered with the essentially faceless main character from Dead Cells. (https://ballp.it/index.php?topic=183.msg174503#msg174503)

I spent a lot of this episode trying to guess the Fictional Others, because I love being horrified. Dale Gribble was a good starting jumpscare on his own, but I'm a little sad these people were otherwise so reticent. Who is the shlubby heavy-drinking minor character who gets shipped with tons of hot women? I know it can't be Paul Blart, but all I can picture is Paul Blart.

(Guilty confession: the entire "I don't play my FO's video game anymore because anxiety" reading just had me thinking EMET-SELCH, EMET-SELCH, IT'S GODDAMN EMET-SELCH OR ONE OF HIS LUMPY DESCENDANTS the entire time. It's probably actually a FNAF guy, but if it's FFXIV, I'd lay money on it being some villain who got shuffled offstage in Endwalker. There is a remote possibility it's Thancred; the Thancred People are out there, and they are unspeakably boring.)

Emet-Selch came up between Frank and I. And G'raha Tia. But yeah it is probably FNAF or maybe Undertale/Deltarune or w/e the unbearably soft children play anymore.

Great, now I'm contemplating the utter nightmare of someone who's doing this for Emet or G'raha and also has the level of agony about "dupes" we see in this episode. I think you'd just have to... never interact with or look at the fandom ever? Which isn't a bad idea, to be fair.

When it comes to FFXIV, I don't! I think it's how I've managed to play it for so long.

He really is. Like seriously, I kept trying to smother it but Frank kept replacing the blanket with more fire.
