Ditto to the concerns about the logo being cut off at the bottom.
- The logo being cut off makes me instinctively try to scroll down to see the rest.
- The empty space at the top make it look like some asset didn’t load properly.
- It’s confusing as to how to go to the home page. My brain automatically tries “click the top-left corner” first, and “click the first item on the main menu” second. Neither of these actions take you home.
- The logo gets partially covered by URLs when you mouse-over links, including the link around the logo itself. I guess that’s not really a usability issue, but it bugs me. (Safari browser)
Also, not having the episode titles (or numbers) display in text form on the episode list seems problematic to me. When I scan through a website, I typically just look at text headings and tune out images. Having to read the text on images (especially when each one is formatted differently) is really frustrating. My brain also doesn’t automatically interpret the “with so and so” as a continuation of the text displayed on the image above, so it looks choppy.
That being said,
I like the look and feel overall a lot better than the old design, so I hope I’m not sounding too negative. These details just really stuck out to me.
This is a super fringe usecase nowadays, but there's a lot of wasted space in landscape mode (like in tablets):

I’m guessing you mean portrait? (What your screenshot shows) And I’m not sure how fringe it is. I personally browse a lot on a tablet and portrait is my preferred orientation.
